Grand Kitchen Designs

Many people who choose to install a new kitchen play safe. They usually replace their old kitchen appliances, furniture and carcasses with a like-for-like approach.

Well here at The Edinburgh Kitchen Company we say try and be a little more adventurous. By going that extra mile you'll have a far grander kitchen with better functionality, style and wow factor with little extra spend.

We recently completed a contemporary style kitchen at Leith Walk, Edinburgh with real wow factor. The owner wanted a modern fresh kitchen with Siemens appliances but on a strict budget. So to achieve this we replaced the old units with fully intergrated appliances and spent a bit more than average on the cooker hood. Our customer ended up choosing Siemens stainless steel cooker hood with glass canopy. This ceiling-mounted chimney hood is perfect for kitchen islands.

The end result was magnificent. The cooker hood gave the kitchen a real sense of quality on a modest budget. It has become a real centre-piece for this Edinburgh Kitchen.

Extend your kitchen

...Extend your kitchen. You maybe thinking, how can I do this? If you are fortunate enough to have a garage attached to your house (many new properties have this arrangement) you maybe able to achieve this. So many times we have seen homeowners who have had a garage conversion, just use the room as a family area, study or dining area. Yes, there is nothing wrong with this because at the end of the day the use of your extra space is up to you.

One thing is for sure though kitchens add massive value, desirability and functionality to your home. That's why The Edinburgh Kitchen Company advises anyone who's thinking of converting their garage to increase the size of their kitchen.
